2015 America the Beautiful 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins

The 2015 America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coins will mark the sixth year for the US Mint’s America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin Program. These strikes are produced from five ounces of .999 fine silver to be the collector versions of the 2015 America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins®.

As the collector versions, each of these coins will be struck with an uncirculated finish and carry a ‘P’ mintmark indicating they were produced at the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia. The bullion coins are also produced in Philadelphia but contain no mintmark and their bullion finish is not typically as detailed as the one found on the uncirculated strikes.

Both will carry basically the same designs, however, including an obverse portrait of George Washington, the first President of the United States. The reverses will contain designs emblematic of sites of national interest with the 2015 coins honoring Homestead National Monument of America of Nebraska, Kisatchie National Forest of Louisiana, Blue Ridge Parkway of North Carolina, Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge of Delaware and Saratoga National Historical Park of New York.

These five coins constitute the twenty-sixth through thirtieth in the series which debuted in 2010 and will see a total of fifty-six strikes created as part of it before the last one is released in 2021.
