American Memorial Park Silver Bullion Coins

The 2019 American Memorial Park Silver Bullion Coins will be the second 2019 releases of the US Mint’s America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins™ Program. Shown on the reverse of the five ounces .999 fine silver strikes will be a design showcasing a portion of American Memorial Park found in the United States territory of the Northern Mariana Islands.

As the second 2019 silver bullion coin, this strike will continue the series which debuted back in 2010. The US Mint releases five strikes per year in the program until a total of fifty-six have been issued when the last coin is scheduled to appear in 2021.

That release schedule is the same as the Mint follows for its America the Beautiful Quarters® Program, which is not a coincidence. When Congress authorized both series of coins, they dictated the release rate and also the fact that the bullion coins contain designs created originally for those quarter dollars.

Each silver bullion coin is produced for investors and will be sold through the Mint’s network of authorized purchasers. Collectors interested in the strike may also want to consider the numismatic version which is produced by the US Mint known as the American Memorial Park Silver Uncirculated Coins.

2019 American Memorial Park Silver Coin Values

There will be three values associated with each 2019 American Memorial Park Silver Bullion Coin – a face value, a melt value and a numismatic value. The least of these should be the face value which will only be twenty-five cents like the quarter dollar it is created to resemble.

Improving upon that should be the coins melt value since each is struck from five ounces of silver. As such, it should have a melt value approximately equal to what five ounces of the precious metal is currently trading for. Thus, if it is trading for $25 an ounce, these coins should have a melt value of about $125 – five ounces times $25 an ounce equals $125.

Finally, since collectors will also likely be interested in adding the coins to their collection, they should also have a numismatic value. This is the amount collectors would be willing to pay for the coin and generally increases based on its condition and rarity.

Current sales information as well as melt values can be found on the Mint Prices, Values & Sales Figures Page once the strikes have been released by the US Mint.

The 2019 American Memorial Park Silver Bullion Coins will each contain an obverse portrait of George Washington, designed by John Flanagan. This image of the first President of the United States first appeared on the 1932 circulating quarter dollar and has been in use in one form or another on the quarters ever since.

Shown on the reverse will be a design showcasing a portion of the American Memorial Park found in the Northern Mariana Islands. Several design candidates for the strike should appear from the US Mint in early 2018 with a final design unveiled later that year.
