The 2020 America the Beautiful Silver Uncirculated Coins will be struck by the US Mint as the numismatic versions of the 2020 America the Beautiful Bullion Coins. Like those strikes of the America the Beautiful Silver Bullion Coins™ Program, these silver uncirculated coins will each be struck from five ounces of the the precious metal to a diameter of three inches.
Designs found on the obverse and reverse of these silver uncirculated coins will also be similar to the related bullion strikes. This includes an obverse portrait of George Washington and a reverse design emblematic of the selected site of national interest.
A total of fifty-six sites will have been honored by both series when the original programs are completed in 2021. However, both series can be extended for another complete run at the discretion of the Treasury Secretary who must inform Congress of the decision in the time allotted.
The differences between the bullion and uncirculated series are minimal and relate mostly to their intended markets. For example, the bullion strikes are created for investors and contain no mintmark. This differs from the collector grade coins which have an uncirculated finish and contain a ‘P’ mintmark indicating they were struck at the US Mint’s facility in Philadelphia.

2020 National Park 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins
The 2020 National Park Silver Uncirculated Coins will each be struck with a reverse design emblematic of the National Park of American Samoa found in the US Territory of American Samoa. These strikes will mark the first of five to be issued in the series that year by the US Mint.
Congress created the national park on October 31, 1988, but the National Park Service was unable to attain the land for the park for another five years. That is because the US territory uses a communal land system which forced the park service to lease the land for 50 years instead of purchasing it.
2020 Weir Farm 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins
Shown on the reverse of the Weir Farm Silver Uncirculated Coins will be a design emblematic of Weir Farms National Historic Site found in the state of Connecticut. Weir Farm National Historic Site was created to commemorate American Impressionist painter J. Alden Weir. The site consists of his farm he established as a retreat from the big city and offers tours of his studio.
2020 Salt River Bay 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins
The third release for the year in the series will be the Salt River Bay Silver Uncirculated Coins. These strikes will honor Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve with a design found on their reverse.
This national historical park and ecological preserve was established on February 24, 1992 to protect the fragile ecosystem found there as well as several historic landmarks. Among them is the only known place where members of the Columbus Expedition set foot on soil now controlled by the United States.
2020 Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins
Released as the fourth strike of the year for the five ounce series will be the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Silver Uncirculated Coins. These strikes will honor the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park of Vermont with a reverse design emblematic of the location.

2020 Tallgrass Prairie 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins
The fifty-fifth strike in the fifty-six coin series will be the Tallgrass Prairie Silver Uncirculated Coins. Shown on the reverse of these coins will be a design showcasing a portion of the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve found in the state of Kansas.
Established on November 12, 1996, this national preserve protects a small portion of tallgrass prairies which once covered millions of acres in North America. These prairies were plowed under over the last few centuries to make way for farming.
