Representing the circulation quality coins produced by the US Mint in 2019, but featuring some strikes produced from 90% silver will be the 2019 Silver Sets. Additionally, all coins in the 2019 Silver Sets will be struck to proof quality at the US Mint’s facility in San Francisco.
The 2019 Silver Sets should include the 2019 Quarters Silver Proof Set and the 2019 Silver Proof Set. Included in the quarters set are the five quarter dollars produced by the US Mint that year. The standard silver sets expands on those five strikes and also represents the other circulating coins of the United States produced by the US Mint that year.
At least a total of ten coins will likely be included in the 2019 Silver Proof Set, but more may be added if Congress authorizes new circulation strikes to be issued that year. For example, from 2007 until at least 2016, the US Mint produced the Presidential $1 Coin series which were also featured in the silver sets those years.
2019 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set
The 2019 United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set™ will be representative of the circulating coins produced by the US Mint that year as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. These five 2019 America the Beautiful Quarters continue the series that debuted in 2010 and feature reverse designs emblematic of selected locations throughout the United States.
The 2019 Quarter Silver Sets will include the following five coins:
- 2019-S Lowell Quarter representing Lowell National Historical Park of Massachusetts
- 2019-S American Memorial Park Quarter representing American Memorial Park of Northern Mariana Islands
- 2019-S War in the Pacific Quarter representing War in the Pacific National Historical Park of Guam
- 2019-S San Antonio Missions Quarter representing San Antonio Missions National Historical Park of Texas
- 2019-S Frank Church River of No Return Quarter representing Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness of Idaho
These five coins total 0.904 ounces of silver when combined together.
2019 Silver Proof Set
The 2019 United States Mint Silver Proof Set™ will contain the five America the Beautiful Quarters shown above plus at least five more strikes representing the circulating coins produced by the US Mint in 2019. Of those additional five coins, two should be struck from silver with the remaining three struck from clad.
If Congress authorizes additional circulating coins for 2019, they will also be included in this set.
