The 2018 Silver Sets issued by the US Mint should consists of the 2018 Quarters Silver Proof Set and the 2018 Silver Proof Set. Both of these collections represent circulation-quality coins struck by the US Mint in 2018, but feature strikes produced from 90% silver.
Since the 2018 silver sets are struck from the precious metal, each will have an intrinsic melt value linked to it. The melt value is approximately equal to the current market price of the amount of silver contained within each set.
All five of the coins included in the 2018 quarters silver sets are struck from the precious metal. Those same five quarters are also included in the 2018 silver sets and are joined by the Roosevelt Dime and the Kennedy Half Dollar which will also be struck from silver. The remaining coins in the 2018 silver sets will be struck from their clad composition typically seen in the circulation coins.
2018 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set
The 2018 United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set™ will contain the five 2018 America the Beautiful Quarters typically struck by the Mint for circulation. However, as previously mentioned, the coins of these silver sets will instead be struck from 90% silver totaling 0.904 ounces of the precious metal.
The 2018 Quarter Silver Sets are scheduled to include the following five strikes:
- 2018-S Pictured Rocks Quarter representing Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore of Michigan
- 2018-S Apostle Islands Quarter representing Apostle Islands National Lakeshore of Michigan
- 2018-S Voyageurs Quarter representing Voyageurs National Park of Minnesota
- 2018-S Cumberland Island Quarter representing Cumberland Islands National Seashore of Georgia
- 2018-S Block Island Quarter representing Block Island National Wildlife Refuge of Rhode Island
Coins included in this set represent the ninth year for the US Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters® Program which debuted in 2010 and will run until 2021.
2018 Silver Proof Set
The 2018 United States Mint Silver Proof Set™ should contain at least a total of ten coins, with seven of those struck from 90% silver. Those precious metal strikes will likely include the five 2018 America the Beautiful Quarters along with the Roosevelt Dime and the Kennedy Half Dollar. Adding those seven coins up totals 1.338 ounces of the precious metal.
Also included will be three coins struck to proof quality from their standard clad composition. This will complete the set so that it represents all of the circulating coins of the United States.
As it currently stands, the 2018 Silver Sets will include the following ten coins:

If additional circulating coins are authorized by Congress for 2018, they will also be included in this set. However, likely only the aforementioned seven coins will be struck from silver and will total 1.338 ounces of the precious metal.
